Shara Strand, one of NYC's most distinguished makeup artist, is now available to take on your make-up needs. Shara has had great success working in all aspects of the makeup business, from celebrity / media/ television to a large roster of clients who strive to look their absolute best. She is committed to shaping and educating the newest, freshest beauty trends.

With over 15 years as a professional makeup artist, her educational pursuits have brought her to NYU, Estee Lauder, Nars, and various other well known makeup lines. Establishing herself as a regional artist for Estee Lauder, Shara spent many years working closely with clients in her territory of Saks 5th Avenue, Bloomingdales, and Bergdorf Goodman. Wanting to find a home base, where she could work on clients consistently, she became a leading makeup artist at Nubest Salon and Spa. She stayed for over three years, until she decided to open her own makeup studio on the Upper East side of NYC.

Shara's most notable makeup applications have been seen on WNBC, Fox 5, ABC morning news, Hamptons Magazine, and numerous bridal magazines. She is proud to create beautiful makeup applications to her exclusive clientele.

Danielle Hartnett
Since moving to NYC from California in the fall of 2011, Danielle Hartnett has been prettying up the clients of Shara Makeup Studio with her natural eye for gorgeous makeup. Hailing from the sunny west coast, Danielle’s sartorial flair for modern meets vintage and a penchant for old Grace Kelly and Audrey Hepburn films, inspire her cosmetic creations. Says Hartnett, “I love teaching others how to bring out their natural beauty by enhancing their favorite features." You can usually recognize Danielle by the wing of her liner and the red on her lip. She has a penchant for clothes, cats, champagne and anything French.
Jennifer Margaret
Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Jennifer has always been a lover of makeup, fashion, and all things beauty. With a degree in Fashion Merchandising from FIT and a Certificate in Professional Makeup Artistry from Chic Studios NYC, with advanced training in Fashion & Runway, TV & Music Video, & Airbrush makeup, Jennifer has taken her knowledge and skills to bring her passions together into a blossoming career with Jennifer Margaret Makeup.

Jennifer loves working with her brides, and specializes in personal makeup lessons as well as applications for celebrity clientele. Jennifer has also worked with top cosmetic lines including Laura Mercier and Dior. In addition, Jennifer has been a member of the Chic Studios Pro Makeup Team working on events such as New York City Fashion Week. Jennifer's positive attitude and fun personality make anyone feel comfortable in her hands, leaving her clients not only with a flawless face, but a great all round experience. Whether she's doing a sultry, smokey eye or a soft, natural style, Jennifer believes in making her clients look and feel their best every time, bringing out their inner "glamazon".
Amanda Dorfman
Amanda Dorfman, an upstate New York native, developed her passion for cosmetics as a young girl experimenting with her mother’s makeup and formulating her own facial cleansers (her mother may disagree with them being “facial cleansers." In 2008, Amanda realized her dream of moving to New York City when she decided to study at Make-up Designory in Manhattan. There she studied special effects and beauty make-up for film, television, and print. Quickly after graduating from MUD she was hired by a variety of networks including MTV and NBC to work on pilot series that were later picked up. Her impressive resume also includes work on “Shreveport”, a film directed by and starring Ryan Phillippe, the feature film “Peace After Marriage”, Genlux magazine, and an editorial spread in Spain’s Cosmopolitan.

Amanda joined the team of Shara Makeup Studio in early 2015 to share her skill in makeup artistry. From makeup lessons to airbrush application, she enhances the beauty in every guest, even giving them tricks to achieve at home. Amanda puts her career first, challenges herself every day and strives to share her vision of contemporary beauty with woman and men from all over the world. Brooke Diaz
Brook Diaz has worked in the makeup industry for nine years after earning her cosmetology license in 2007. She has worked for MAC cosmetics, NARS cosmetics and freelanced for various editorial photo shoots. Brook has been with Shara Makeup Studio for over three years, she enjoys instilling confidence in her clients during every makeup lesson and application.

Her "signature style" is always on trend and simply sexy! She loves airbrushing and working with individual lashes. Clean skin, smokey eyes, and her love of contouring make her a favorite makeup artist amongst clients all over the world.

Maggie Esmond
Maggie is a New York City based makeup artist specializing in airbrush makeup, false lash application and special effects makeup. She was born and raised in the metropolitan Washington DC area with her 2 sisters, mom, and dad. She grew up creative, and spent most of her time drawing in her sketchbook. She loved the process of bringing her vision to life, and pursued a fine arts education. After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration, Maggie moved from Savannah, GA to New York City to make it as an artist. It was at this time that Maggie began to seriously pursue a career as a makeup artist. Maggie attended the Multimedia program at the Makeup-Designory to hone her skills as an artist. There, she completed over 600 clock hours learning professional makeup techniques. She has worked on numerous projects doing hair, makeup, and fashion styling. Maggie has been published in magazines such as Freaks and Geeks and Lavish Mode, and has worked on several web series, short films, and fashion runway shows. Her signature look is a clean, flawless makeup application with a pop of color.
